It’s that time of year again when everyone is excited for sweater weather and pumpkin spiced everything.
I’m not though.
All I’m thinking about is how my tan is fading.
I do wear SPF 50 now when I’m out in the sun, but I still get tan. And I love it! I look better. Healthier. For me, old just looks better tan.
So when the pool closes and I know my next trip to the beach isn’t until March, I reach for a self tanner. These are two (for face) that you need to know about because they turn your favorite moisturizer into a self tanner.
You control the glow depending on how many drops you use.
By adding a few drops to your morning or evening moisturizer, you turn your moisturizer into a self tanner. It’s genius. No adding another another layer of product to your face before you moisturize. I did not find either to be orange-looking, streaky, or to have an overwhelming self-tanner smell.
Both produce a gradual tan, although in my opinion the Clarins color shows sooner than the elf color. That being said, if you make the elf part of your regular routine, you will see gradual color that builds and looks like the gorgeous tan you get from Clarins.
Self-tanner is a staple in my winter survival kit.
I’m stocking up now on all the things that make me happy during the freezing, gray winter months. You know, things like chapstick, shea butter, and vodka. And you can bet I’ll have a self-tanner on hand!
