The active ingredient in Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment is Centella Asiatica, also called Tiger Grass.  Legend has it that Asian Tigers rolled in Tiger Grass to heal their wounds.

So it healed some wounded tigers.  The real test would be my middle aged face.

I read review after RAVE review about Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment.  So I ordered some because I just had to know if it would live up to the extreme hype.  And I am hooked.  This stuff is no joke.

When applied over redness, the cream’s green hue cancels out or  “corrects” the redness on your face.

Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment turns a sheer beige.  I don’t have major redness issues, but my nose and the area around my nose can look pretty red in winter.  As my tan fades and redness, uneven color and spots start to show more, this has been helping.

Here’s what I love about it:

•  It is moisturizing without being greasy, perfect for winter coming.

•  My skin feels comforted.  Tiger grass is known for calming inflammation.

•  It provides SPF 30 protection from UV light.

•  It claims it  “forms a dust barrier to protect the skin from the environment while enhancing the skin’s viability.”  All I know is, my skin feels protected.

•  It’s infused with sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium to help improve the skin’s moisture levels and restore fatigued skin for a healthy appearance.

Some women say they wear this instead of foundation.  I could see that being true, especially if you’re young and you don’t have a lot of things you’re trying to cover.  I’ve worn it alone (without foundation) to the gym or just out running errands.  I do add blush, bronzer, and concealer of course.  But it’s a great feeling to be able to give my skin a break from foundation.

For me, this is a perfect color-correcting primer.  I wear it under my foundation for a glowing, healthy complexion.

Honestly, I feel like this stuff is strengthening my skin!  I don’t use much at all.  I tap a little all over my face, then I start patting it in.  I give it maybe a minute to settle in and do it’s color changing magic!  Then I apply my makeup as I normally would.

Sephora carries a travel size for $18, and the regular size is $52.  Pricey, but worth it.  Like I said, I don’t need much at all.  I’ve had mine for about a month and I haven’t put a dent in it!

I am SO glad I’ll have this in my skincare arsenal!  When winter winds roar in, I’ll have my Tiger Grass!
So I can roar back.
